La Vienesa

Last week I stopped in to my favorite bakery to grab a quick breakfast before I had to make it to a class. I snapped a few pictures to share the moment. This is second only to Jauense.
My favorite are the chocolate dipped, chocolate filled pastries! MMMM

They have a nice selection of goodies to choose from.

Mega Pizza

So while we were in Foz we were told that we had to visit Mega Pizza.
We were told that they had all you can eat pizza, buffalo wings, and french fries. So we went to check it out with a group of friends.
It took awhile to find seating as the place was packed, but once we were seated the food kept coming non-stop.

The chicken and french fries were pretty good.

The pizza was also good and came in every flavor combination known to man. My favorite was the white chocolate and dark chocolate pizza. You should try it sometime.

Jauense

Most definitely my favorite place to eat in Foz is Jauense Confeiteria.

The chicken coxinhas...not sure what to call them in English...(meat pies) are out of this world!!!
The Brigadeiros aren't bad either!
Oh yea, and they have eclairs, and ice cream, and tons of other sweets and pastries to tempt you. Yummy!

Crossing the Bridge

Once we got through the traffic and reached the bridge we were entertained by watching all of the motorcycle taxis weave their way in and out of traffic.

Waiting in Line at the Border

Recently our family took a trip to Foz de Iguazu, Brazil. We drove from Asuncion to Ciudad del Este and got caught in the line to cross over the bridge into Foz.
We were sitting in line bumper to bumper for two hours.

I entertained myself by taking pictures of the street vendors.

Evidently you can buy just about anything on the street.

People of all ages were trying to make their living.
